Family Courts During Covid

During the current lockdown, courts have made much better progress in matters being listed swiftly and handled more efficiently. However, there are still considerable delays in the system and much depends on the court involved as to the levels of proficiency.

Our advice is to still expect delays and also to expect many of the preliminary hearings to take place remotely by telephone or video platforms with only a handful of courts conducting direct hearings.
